We remember The Avengers coming out, checking IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic etc and it actually having a really good rating. That goes to show just how incredibly huge these films were. The Avengers is the only movie series where both the original and the sequel made it into the top 10. Despite earning $1.514bn, it will never be as big or as close to our hearts as the original Jurassic Park. The new Jurassic World film had everyone who had seen the original film going and plenty of new families and the new generation going to see it too.

The original Jurassic Park is the 18th top grossing film of all time but the new film Jurassic World grossed almost half a billion dollars more than the original. The film, therefore, grossed $1.511bn worldwide. The film came with lots of fast cars, some great, pumping music to go with it and plenty and plenty of action. With Paul Walker’s death leaving a lot of Furious fans distraught and a promised testimony to his time in the films and his life, Furious 7 was always going to be a good seller. Every time a new Marvel film comes out, it tops the Box Office charts without fail and sequel to the original The Avengers is no different, taking in $1.393bn worldwide at the box offices. The Avengers films have absolutely taken cinema by storm, taking Marvel into the cinema spotlight. The final film in the series did not disappoint with an incredible showdown with some of our favorite characters. The series running up to it had created such a huge fan base it was hardly possible. The final Harry Potter film was arguably on of the biggest films of this decade, potentially in cinema history. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 – $1.341bnĪ film here that isn’t really much of a surprise to see on this list.
